Our member schools are among the United States’ finest and most rigorous private high schools, and each is uniquely mission-driven. Their world-class academics, extracurriculars, and campus life prepare ASSIST Scholars for university study and beyond.
How ASSIST Schools Stand Apart
ASSIST is the only nonprofit international exchange organization that works exclusively with National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) member schools. This means all Scholars attend American private high schools, also called “independent or “prep” schools.
Outstanding Academics
Scholars can expect to be challenged and supported in their studies.
- Coursework that prepares students for university study
- Academically challenging Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses
- Small, seminar-style classes – typically less than 15 students
- Dedicated, well-educated faculty devoted to the growth of each student
Extensive Extracurriculars
Getting involved outside the classroom is a vital part of the ASSIST experience, and our member schools offer something for every interest.
- Competitive, on-campus athletics
- Visual and performing arts
- Opportunities for community service
- Debate and Model UN
University-Like Campuses
Scholars often compare their schools’ campuses to universities. Both boarding and day students have countless opportunities to immerse themselves in campus life.
- State-of-the-art classrooms
- Beautiful facilities for athletics, arts, and more
- Student centers
- Dining halls
- Home-like dorms (at boarding schools)
