Welcome to ASSIST Turkey
ASSIST became active in Turkey to help young Turkish students currently in the 9th or 10th grade who would like to spend one year as exchange students in the United States as 10th or 11th graders. There are also very limited places for 12th graders and post-graduates. Candidates should note that very few ASSIST member schools offer the IB curriculum; you should assume that you would enroll in a traditional American-style curriculum.
Our work in Turkey began in 2012/13, and ultimately dozens of Turkish students have studied in the States through ASSIST.

Application Process for 2025/26 Scholarships
Together with our Turkish partner, LMK Consulting, Turkish scholars may apply. The application process for scholarships for the 2025/26 school year will begin in early August, 2024. Once your application has been submitted, you will have access to a checklist listing additional required materials, like teacher recommendations and grade transcripts. We encourage you to check your applicant portal often to see the status of your materials. If successful, you may also be invited to take an English test and to interview January or February of 2025.
