Peter’s passion is giving young people the opportunity to step into other cultures. His global experiences, passion for students, and experience in education make him a treasured member of the ASSIST Board. Peter received a B.A. in English from Middlebury College in 1980, followed by a M.A. in English Literature from Middlebury in 1986. After playing tennis throughout college, he played competitively on the Satellite Tennis Tour in 1984. He then went on to the Taft School in Watertown, CT, where he has served as an English teacher, tennis coach, squash coach, admissions officer, director of communications, and most recently, Director of Admission. He served for years on the Litchfield Montessori School’s Board of Trustees, where he was Board Vice President. With ASSIST, he serves as an interviewer of potential Scholars, co-chair of the Admissions Advisory Council, and is a member of the Governance Committee and the 50th Anniversary Task Force.
